Quilting and appliqué
This is the first quilt in a series of quilts I am creating. The baby is the primary subject in this 36" x 36" work. I wanted to consider a newly forming worldview as experienced from the warmth, comfort, and safety of a papoose. The circles represent the ancestral presence that has informed mothers through the ages. The organic forest is in a moment of release or autumn while the subjects are adorned in fresh flowers. The moment they inhabit is enchanting and enchanted.
